Faculty & Postdoctoral Scholars Enrollment
For faculty with NIH K-award grants, they must obtain classification as a non-degree student before they can be enrolled, then follow the Nondegree Graduate Student application process.
Nondegree Student Enrollment
Step 1: Click online application. https://grad.admissions.uiowa.edu/apply/applying-nondegree-graduate-stu….
- Most nondegree applicants will be charged a $40 application fee upon enrollment. You may request reimbursement from your department.
- Submit an official transcript showing your baccalaureate (or higher) degree to the Office of Admissions, 108 Calvin Hall, Iowa City, IA 52242-1396. (Current or former UI students do not need to submit UI transcripts.)
- Submit an official TOEFL score report if you are an international student whose first language is not English. (Review the Additional Requirements for International Applicants).

Step 3: Complete the application and submit.
Step 4: Please share with OGPS via email Biomedical-SIRCR@uiowa.edu when the Nondegree Graduate Student Application and official transcripts have been submitted. This allows our office to take the next steps to complete your course enrollment in Scholarly Integrity/Responsible Conduct of Research.
For Postdoctoral Scholars to enroll, notify the OGPS office at Biomedical-SIRCR@uiowa.edu. OGPS staff will enroll postdocs the first week of classes.
