Thanks to an Iowa State graduate, Misty Perez ended up in the University of Iowa Biomedical Science Program. During her undergraduate research at Whittier College in California, the Cyclone researcher suggested Misty check out Iowa.

In 8th grade, Adele wrote an essay on where she pictured herself in 20 years. At her desk on the second floor of the Biomedical Science Building, she smiled and recalled what she wrote.
