Summer Research Training
The University of Iowa provides undergraduates from diverse collegiate backgrounds the opportunity to have an immersive biomedical research experience during the summer in a cutting-edge, hypothesis-driven laboratory. Participants, through a hands-on research experience, enhance their analytical and technical research skills while working with and receiving mentoring from a University of Iowa faculty member, culminating in poster presentations at the Iowa Memorial Union, shown above.
In addition to the time in the laboratory, we highly encourage summer undergraduate research program participants to enrich their summer experience by taking advantage of the career and professional development activities.
